History of HANAI AND Co.Ltd.
1964 founded as "Atelier Hanai" in Asagaya, Tokyo.
1967 Changed Atelier Hanai to a limited company.
1968 Opened a boutique "Madame Hanai" in Ginza, Tokyo.
1970 Stared collection show as "Yukiko Hanai Collection."
1971 Founded "Madame Hanai & Co.Ltd."
moved a head office to Roppongi and reinforced a ready made clothing department.
1973 Opened haute couture and prêt-à-poter boutique as a second direct managemet store in Roi building located in Roppongi.
Yukiko Hanai received "Japan Fashion Editors Club Award(FEC Award)"
1976 Held a fashion show for opening ceremony of "Hotel Nikko(Japan Air Line) de Paris" in Paris.
1978 Launched a brand "Madame Hanai Excellence" in November.
1981 Founded "Avanti & Co.Ltd." in September.
Started to design accessories, bags, and shoes as Yukiko Hanai.
Expanded its business to the United States by a partnership with "Russell Taylor" company, New York.
Opened "Yukiko Hanai" at "Saks Fifth Avenue" and other famous department stores.
Held a fashion show at "Fashion Institute of Technology", New York.
1982 Launched Yukiko Hanai boutique in Hong Kong in November.
Established a license contract with "Ichida corporation" and introduced "Yukiko Hanai Kimono Boutique."
1983 Launched "Yukiko Hanai New York" brand in both the United States and Japan.
1984 Changed company's name to "Hanai & Co.Ltd." in May.
1986 Launched "C-1" brand.
1990 Launched "Ve Vue" brand in May.
1994 Launched "YH Classico" brand in February.
1996 Changed the brand "Ve Vue" to "Miss Hanai" in June.
Held a exhibition titled "Beauty of use" with licensees of "Yukiko Hanai".
Introduced "Yukiko Hanai Homme" at '97 Spring/Summer Yukiko Hanai collection.
Web site www.hanai.co.jp is started.
1997 Opened flag ship shop "Yukiko Hanai Aoyama" at Aoyama, Tokyo.
1999 Changed brand name to "Yukiko Hanai" from "Madame Hanai", "Yukiko Hanai NewYork", "Madame Hanai Excellence" for stronger brand identity.
Launched "Prosumer" brand for contemporary casual market.
2000 Opened "VISSÁNA" at Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
2003 Received "Senken Buyers Award."
