1959 Completed Setsu Nagasawa Mode Seminar of Fashion Illustration School.
was awarded for style drawing section in water color painting league.
Joined AD Center inc. and charged in a business of fashion design and illustration.
1964 Became an independent fashion designer.
Founded Atelier Hanai in Asagaya, Tokyo.
1967 Changed Atelier Hanai to a limited company and promoted herself as a board of director in March.
1968 Opened a boutique "Madame Hanai" in Ginza, Tokyo was successful as a haute couture designer to public widely.
1970 Stared collection show as "Yukiko Hanai Collection". Since then holds collection show twice a year.
1973 Received "Japan Fashion Editors Club Award(FEC Award)" due to the recognition of the excellence in expanding boutiques.
1976 Designed an uniform for ANA(All Nippon Airways).
since then, designs uniforms for Fuji Bank, Sanyo Security, Daimaru department store, Tama municipal high school, Seitoku university, and many enterprises and schools.
Held a fashion show for opening ceremony of "Hotel Nikko(Japan Air Line) de Paris" in Paris.
1978 Cooperated with costume design for the animated film "The Cosmic Battleship Yamato."
1979 Produced, and directed a movie film called "Remembrance of Four Seasons."
1981 Started lisence business for accessories, bags, and shoes as Yukiko Hanai.
Expanded its business to the United States by a partnership with "Russell Taylor" company, New York.
Opened Yukiko Hanai at Saks Fifth Avenue and other famous department stores.
Held a fashion show at "Fashion Institute of Technology", New York.
1982 Established a license contract with "Ichida corporation" and introduced Yukiko Hanai Kimono Boutique.
1983 Introduced a brand "Yukiko Hanai New York " in both the United States and Japan.
1986 Introduced "C-1" Brand.
1989 Became the chairman of "the fashion group". since then served two terms as a chairman.
Designed costumes for J. Noimayor's "The Seven Haiku Dedicated to the Moon", played by German National Hambourg Ballet.
1990 Introduced "Ve Vue" in May.
1994 Introduced "YH Classico" in February.
1995 Won the prize "1995 contribution to Kimono Award" by National Kimono Education Union.
Designed costumes for '95 WGC Sabae (Fukui International Gymnastic Competition Championship - Sabae Tournament).
1996 Changed the brand "Ve Vue" to "Miss Hanai" in June.
Held a exhibition titled "Beauty of use" with licensees of "Yukiko Hanai".
Introduced "Yukiko Hanai Homme" at '97 Spring/Summer Yukiko Hanai collection.
Web site www.hanai.co.jp is started.
1997 Opened flag ship shop "Yukiko Hanai Aoyama" at Aoyama, Tokyo.
1999 Changed brand name to "Yukiko Hanai" from "Madame Hanai", "Yukiko Hanai NewYork", "Madame Hanai Excellence" for stronger brand identity.
Launched "Prosumer" brand for contemporary casual market.
2000 Opened "VISSÁNA" at Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
2003 Received "Senken Buyers Award."
